On Nov. 6, 2014, H&M will debut its first collaboration with a U.S. designer – Alexander Wang. Available in 250 stores globally, a full range of performance. Standout pieces from the unisex collection include quick-dry running tops, tank tops, open-work sweatshirts, perforated laser-cut shorts, and black leather sweatpants. The logo-heavy designs are restricted to a black and grey color palette, with the exception of a men’s silver down jacket. Innovative details include pointelle patterns that reveal phrases such as “This is an Alexander Wang cropped top”. Unisex accessories include lifestyle objects such as boxing gloves and a yoga mat, along with backpacks, sneakers and Wang-moniker beanies. According to H&M, “…the result is a collection to be worn on the street, in the gym, at the club — the way women live their lives today.” The live runway show was held at The Armory in New York City on October 16. Tricked out with acrobatics, athletic-wear-loving Missy Elliot was the star of the show, performing some of her classic hits.
